Our story

The story of Kate’s House begins with a dream. Several years ago, our family set out to find the perfect place to build a beach home and discovered Calypso Pointe—a neighborhood with excellent walkable access to Santa Rosa Beach. While most of the community was completed two decades ago, Kate’s House is its newest addition.

The home is truly a family creation. Jennifer, an architect, designed the house. Donna and Austin—a mother-and-son duo from North Alabama who run a custom trim company—crafted and installed the woodwork seen throughout the house. Stacy brought her project management skills to guide the process to completion. Together with our carpenters, every detail was built with hands-on attention and love.

What began as a building project became a family journey—one that brought us closer together. Today, we’re excited to share Kate’s House with future tenants and guests as a place to create lasting memories by the beach.
